Pour Decisions: Wine & Cheese Night

Pour Decisions: Wine & Cheese Night
$125.00

Good wine and good cheese are a pretty perfect combination, but we're taking things a little further.

We'll begin in France with Brillat-Savarin, a luxurious triple-crème cheese known for its rich, buttery texture and delicate, slightly tangy finish. A glass of Champagne from grower-producer Marc Hébrart brings a little brightness and a refreshing contrast to all that creamy richness.

From there, we're off to Italy for Pecorino Toscano, a sheep's milk cheese with a distinctly different personality. Firm, savory, and pleasantly nutty, with a subtle sweetness that balances its salty character. We'll put it to good use with fresh, handmade pasta, alongside Pieropan's La Rocca Soave Classico, a beautifully textured white wine with richness and complexity of its own.

We'll finish in Spain with aged Manchego, firm and wonderfully complex, with those distinctive nutty, slightly caramelized flavors that develop with time. A classic Rioja Reserva rounds out the evening, bringing a little more depth and structure to our final pairing.

Throughout the evening, we'll explore what makes these cheeses special, how their flavors develop, and why certain wines bring out the best in them. There will be plenty of opportunities to taste, compare, and maybe discover a pairing you wouldn't have thought to try.

A little education, a lot of good food and wine, and a relaxed evening around the table.
